While attending CES in Las Vegas this past week I had the pleasure of experiencing the finest view Las Vegas offers.
It’s not the Bellagio fountains, the latest casino on the strip, or one of the drones flying around CES.
The finest view is once you take the 20 minute drive to Red Rock Canyon getting off at the Sandstone Quarry parking lot and taking the 2,000 foot hike to the top of Turtlehead Peak.
You wouldn’t know you were so close to the Strip if you couldn’t see the shiny hotels from the summit view with ease.
Also at the top of this mountain is a notepad. A notepad asking you to leave your name, date you climbed Turtlehead, and where you are from.
It was my 2nd entry into the notepad. The last one was back in 2013 and rumor has it that Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center keeps the old ones to bust out as exhibits from time to time.
Talk about a personal touch.
It changes the way I view that mountain, it’s a story I can share with any hiker in the world, and it’s a moment I will treasure and remember forever.
If a personal touch can be applied to a place like the top of a 2,000 foot peak what kind of personal touch can you put on your business?
Or the company that you work for?
Personal touches can be placed anywhere. Even at the top of Turtlehead Peak, so they can certainly be put into your everyday interactions with your co-workers, your community of customers, and this world.
Personal touch is all about value and authenticity. About honesty and fun.
It’s about connecting with your people on a higher level that shows care about who they are and what they stand for.
Personal touch makes your business better.
With personal touch everybody wins. And after all nobody wins unless everybody wins.
Get in tune with your personal touch by starting with your personal brand!
